COVID-19 UPDATES FOR KANSAS ATTORNEYS

On April 8, 2020, the Kansas Supreme Court issued several Administrative Orders to extend the due date for annual fees, modify continuing legal education attendance and reporting deadlines, and temporarily waive the limitation on prerecorded programming through September 30, 2020. Providers are still required to make the application, and electronically report the attendance, for distance learning programs. Applications and certificates will not be accepted from the attorney. The deadline for attendance remains June 30 but, for those who cannot meet that requirement. there is an automatic extension without penalty through September 30. Please note, per this order, ALL attendance in Kansas must be reported by September 30 to qualify for the 2019 - 20 compliance period. Please plan your attendance accordingly so that it may be reported before the deadline.
